We know that our body performs many functions, and we know that a body sweats. A comedian–whose name escapes me–said sweat is a punishment for exercising. Imagine that, your body punishing you for keeping you healthy.
I have to admit the comedian made me laugh, but I do know sweat is incredibly important. And, even though you may be embarrassed by it, this function does your body good.
Sweat Is Your Friend
Sweat expels different toxins from your body. It also cools you down when your body or environment gets too hot. And you can even lose weight by sweating. It’s definitely better than any exercise I’ve ever done.
Sweat glands also secrete pheromones. I (unknowingly) learned about these molecules from comic books. Poison Ivy–a villain from the Batman comics–used pheromones to seduce and control her victims. But when I was kid, I didn’t know pheromones were real.
I have learned we do indeed secrete pheromones. Human beings secrete different types of pheromones. For example, a woman secretes a specific pheromone that her baby uses to identify her. There are other pheromones that are very useful, but what if you sweat excessively or produce a foul smell?
Eliminate the Stink
You can halt the stink by lending a hand and guiding sweat in the right direction. Then, you will sweat sweetly. You can add internal deodorizers to your body. Internal deodorizers include plants that contain phytonutrients, such as the following:
- Parsley
- Oregano
- Cilantro
- Thyme
- Every mint
- Rosemary
- Lavender
- Sage
You can also reduce odors by reducing certain bacteria. You need to rebalance the pH-level in your body. To do this, you should incorporate fermented foods in your diet daily, and you should drink enough water, too.
Oh, but the water should be ‘living water.’ Living, raw water has a high pH-level. You can find a local spring here. As you know, we are mostly made of water, so this can be quite effective.
But what if you just sweat too much? There is a solution for that, too.
Sage: Naturally Reduce Your Sweatin’
Sage contains anti-hydrotic compounds within its volatile oil. These compounds decrease the amount of sweat your body secretes.
Sage has defeated night sweats and menopausal sweats, so imagine what it can do for you? Several studies have proven the power of this herb, just in case you don’t believe me. But you should avoid taking it in a concentrated form if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
As you can see, all you have to do is control and guide your sweat. Maybe you can even let go of those armpit-deodorants, as you should not need them.
The methods above may not work immediately, as natural things do take time. If you need something that will help your body as it adjusts to the above measures, you should check out the following helpful methods.
Dual Roles: Quick Ways to Eliminate Odor & Reduce Sweat
Here are a few natural things to consider that will eliminate odor and reduce sweat.
- Squeeze or rub a piece of lettuce (or the juice of lettuce) on your “problem” area(s).
- Squirt or dab unfiltered, organic apple cider vinegar (with the mother) on the area.
- You can also rub radish juice on your body.
- You can put some rosemary oil or tea on your body as well.
Go ahead and try some of the solutions above to see if they work for you. If they do not, you may be missing some other vital nutrients. For example, you may be low in Vitamin D3.
