Crystals were created by God. They are beautiful creations that grow deep within the earth. These geometrically-designed tools are powerful because they can store, focus, transmit, transform, and amplify energy. They are affected by their surroundings.
A crystal syncs with the earth’s energy field. Since your body does the same, this mineral can harmonize the energy within and around you, balancing the ratio of positive & negative ions. Each crystal also has a unique vibration and frequency (due to its crystalline structure and color). This allows them to assist in healing designated areas of the body, as they may encourage unhealthy cells to vibrate at the same frequency of healthy cells.
Myths & Truth: Crystals & Gemstones in the Bible
In the Bible, you will we find crystals and rocks mentioned several times, like in Revelation 21. In Exodus 28, we find crystals were used in Aaron’s breastplate. It was made according to the design given by God to Moses. This was a breastpiece of judgment that Aaron wore on his heart and shoulders. It was designed so that all the twelve tribes of Israel were engraved on the stones. Aaron was a high priest, and whenever he went on behalf of the people, he wore this breastplate.
The gemstones used in the breastplate were: Jasper, Sardius, Agate, Amethyst, Beryl, Onyx, Topaz, Carbuncle, Ligure, Emerald, Sapphire and Diamond.
Now, one reason some believe crystal healing is wrong is because some healers say they use spirit guides to help them in their healing sessions. Or, they use crystals to attract love, bring luck, gain guidance for life decisions, and some use them as a tool to try to communicate with angels or God. But, we know that satan and his minions roam the earth. They are deceivers and manipulate the Bible so they can lead people away from the truth.
We don’t need a high priest because Jesus Christ is our High Priest. And we don’t need gemstones (or anything) to help us communicate with God. Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead, bringing Christians closer to God. If your faith lies in Jesus Christ, and you have been reborn into His Eternal family, you have the Holy Spirit as your Spirit Guide. You can talk to him whenever you want. And, we can see God’s crystals (and all of creation) as symbols and gifts.
Now, using these gifts in practical ways to assist in healing should not be too hard to grasp. If you think about it, when a person wears a ring with a crystal in it, he or she may be unknowingly participating in crystal healing.
However, I know that we all have weaknesses and strengths. So, it may be unwise for you to do something that someone else does as you might fall into traps, like using crystals as a quick fix for soul issues that require capitulation and God’s Spiritual healing. It is a must that one does not allow these earthly tools (or any aspect of creation) to replace God for certain needs. This is why you must seek His guidance with all things. If you ultimately feel uncomfortable using crystals, think it’s wrong, or are confused about using them, run away! You don’t want to do something you think is wrong because then you have sinned in your conscience (Romans 14:23).
But, once you eliminate using crystals in the wrong way (like with sex, wine, & other creations… etc), you are left with another part of creation that can aid in healing.
Clear Quartz Crystal: The Master Healer
Just as various colored food or herbs heal the body, various colored crystals do the same. For example: Eggplant = Lavender = Amethyst, all connected. Clear quartz crystal is a master crystal as it contains all the colors of the rainbow, which is healing to all areas of the body. I think this might be one of my favorite crystal minerals because it’s another way to reflect on Christ. He is True Light (an array of colors), brings healing to our whole being, and He is the Master Healer.
If you are just getting into healing with crystals, you might want to start with clear quartz and go from there as your knowledge increases. Or just allow yourself to choose. You may be drawn to a particular crystal because you need it, like when you crave certain foods due to vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
Preparing the Crystal
When you get your crystal, you should cleanse (or clear) it because its natural balance could be out of whack, which means it needs to return to its normal vibratory rate. You can do this by putting it under running water. You can even take it to a natural stream or river. The currents create energy, and this allows it to clear the crystal, energetically. You can also cleanse with sound (which is popular) or bury it outside in moist dirt (for a few hours) if you are sure the dirt is not contaminated. Depending on the mineral, you can cleanse with the sun or moon.
The methods above can also re-energize the crystals to enhance their healing powers. I usually leave my crystal friends under the warm sun or moon for a few hours. I’ve noticed these celestial bodies cleanse my stones but also provide a boost of energy that “charges” them. I do not clear them often though. Crystal healers cleanse frequently because they work with clients dealing with various issues. The minerals need retuning when they’ve been under severe stress, like heavy negative emotions or excessive radiation or toxin exposure for long periods. You can usually sense when this is needed. Though, I’ve noticed that a crystal will retune itself if I forget about it and don’t use it for some time.
There are many ways to ‘cleanse’ your crystals; these are just a few methods I use.
A Tale of Caution
You should be careful where you acquire your crystals, and it is usually safer to use tumbled stones if you’ll be using them to charge water. All minerals cannot be cleared the same way, so double check your mineral of choice. If in doubt, use a full moon or sound; it is one of the easiest methods. My next post will talk more about crystal safety and cover a few simple healing methods that you can incorporate into your life.
